What’s the Difference between ‘Will My Courses Transfer?’ and ‘Find a Replacement Course’?

There are two paths for searching in Transferology: one path is for transferring your credits to another institution, the other is to transfer credits back to your current "home" institution.

Will My Courses Transfer?

Will My Courses Transfer helps you see how courses you've taken (or plan to take) transfer to an institution that is not the one where you're currently enrolled. For example, you've taken some courses at a community college, and have AP tests or military exams, and want to see if those will transfer. Or you're thinking about taking some courses at a college but know you ultimately want to transfer to a different school, plug those in to see if they'll transfer.

To start: Enter all the courses you’ve taken or are planning to take at your current school, then click Search for Matches. You’ll see a list of schools with a match percentage that ranks who has said they’ll give you credit for those courses. You can use filters to narrow the results by distance from zip code, state, tuition & fees, size, public or private, by your marked favorites, or even one specific school – allowing you make the best decision that’s right for you.

Find a Replacement Course

Find a Replacement Course helps you locate a course at another institution to transfer back to your current institution. For example, you may want to pick up a course over the summer while you're home, or at a different nearby institution, but want to make sure you'll receive credit at your "home" institution. Note: Be sure to check with your Advisor or the Registrar that the course not only transfers, but will apply toward your declared major/program.

To start: Enter the course that’s offered at your current school, then click Search for Matches. You’ll see a list of schools that offer a course that your current school has said will transfer back. Note: results are not guaranteed and only represent the schools in the Transferology network. Other institutions may offer credit for the courses you’ve taken, or have transfer agreements with your current school. View the school profiles and contact the institutions directly whose data isn’t yet available, or contact your advisor.
