What is reCAPTCHA?

Multiple pages within Transferology now use reCAPTCHA technology. Learn more about how to navigate the reCAPTCHA process in this article.

What is reCAPTCHA?

reCAPTCHA is a CAPTCHA service provided by Google.  A "CAPTCHA" is a test designed to confirm that a website's user is a human, not a bot. Once the test has been passed, the person can gain access to the website.

Why Does Transferology Use reCAPTCHA?

reCAPTCHAs are used to help protect Transferology and its users. By keeping bots out of Transferology, user data is being protected.

Logging in with reCAPTCHA

Multiple pages within Transferology require reCAPTCHA; amongst them are the Sign Up and Log in. At these screens, users will be prompted with the following box:

Users need to check the box next to the phrase "I'm not a robot." After doing so, one of the following will appear:

1. A green checkmark

  • If users see this, this means the test has been passed. Select Log in to access Transferology.

2. A puzzle challenge

  • If users see this, this means additional verification is needed.
    • Users will be presented with a puzzle that needs to be solved. Instructions will be provided on the screen.

In the example below, the reCAPTCHA instructed the user to select all squares with buses.

  • When a square is selected, a white checkmark within a blue circle appears.
    • To remove a checkmark, select the square again.
    • Select Verify.
